GENEALOGY OF JESUS CHRIST

In the New Testament books of Matthew and Luke, you will find the genealogy of Jesus.  In Matthew it is through his earthly father, Joseph (I do not consider Joseph Jesus' step-father).  In Luke you will find it through Mary.  It is also mentioned in scripture that the lineage of David continues with his son Solomon but through his grandson Roboam, his seed would be cut off. Others say that Jesus' lineage is
through David's other son Nathan.  After reading Matthew and Luke again, I think in Matthew it mentions David's son Nathan and and in Luke it mentions Eleazar's son Matthan. I don't believe Nathan and Matthan are the same person.  I chose to share the lineage of Jesus found in the book of Matthew.

        MATTHEW CHAPTER ONE:
  1.  Abraham begat Isaac,
  2.  Isaac (mother Sarah) begat Jacob
  3.  Jacob begat Judas
  4.  Judas begat Phares
  5.  Phares begat Esrom
  6.  Esrom begat Aram
  7.  Aram begat Aminadab
  8.  Aminadab begat Naasson
  9.  Naasson begat Salmon
10.  Salmon begat Booz (Boaz)
11.  Boaz (Booz) begat Obed (of Ruth)
12.  Obed begat Jesse
13.  Jesse begat David
14.  David begat Solomon
15.  Solomon begat Roboam
16.  Roboam begat Abia
17.  Abia begat Asa
18.  Asa begat Josaphat
19.  Josaphat begat Joram
20.  Joram begat Ozias
21.  Ozias begat Joatham
22.  Joatham begat Achaz
23.  Achaz begat Ezekias
24.  Ezekias begat Manasses
25.  Manasses begat Amon
26.  Amon begat Josias
27.  Josias begat Jechonias
28.  Jechonias begat Salathiel (Jehoiachin)
29.  Jehoiachin (Salathiel) begat Zorobabel
30.  Zorobabel begat Abiud
31.  Abiud begat Eliakim
32.  Eliakim begat Azor
33.  Azor begat Sadoc
34.  Sadoc begat Achim
35.  Achim begat Eliud
36.  Eliud begat Eleazar
37.  Eleazar begat Mathan
38.  Mathan begat Jacob and Heli
39.  Heli begat Mary and adopted Joseph
39.  Jacob begat Joseph
41.  Joseph, was Jesus' earthly father, begat his brothers and sisters.
42.  JESUS never married or had children, so the genealogy would go
on through Jesus's brothers James, Joses, Simon and Judas.

In Luke's account of the Genealogy and thru Mary it is thought since Mary's dad had no sons, he adopted Joseph to carry on his lineage.

It is said by man that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a son. It is also stated by man that the disciple leaning on Christ in the painting of the Last Supper is Mary Magdalene and not John. I have never came across this information in God's word.
