THE FOUR GOSPELS OF JESUS CHRIST
The first four books in the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are called the Four Gospels of Jesus Christ. In the portrait of Jesus Christ there are two simple questions: Who is Jesus and why is He the good news? There is only one Jesus. Only one gospel. However in God's providence, He gave us four gospels, each proclaiming who Jesus is and why He is "good news." This is shared from the four perspectives of Evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each Evangelist paints a unique portrait of Jesus, influenced by their own interests and audiences and by the Holy Spirit who directs them. Matthew portrays Jesus as king and Messiah, Mark presents Him as a suffering servant, and Luke shows Jesus as compassionate Son of Man. Finally John reveals Jesus as the divine Son of God.
