SAINT VALENTINE

Who was Saint Valentine?  He was a priest of the Roman Catholic Church, 200 years after the New Testament.  That right there should should stop you from having anything to do with the Day named after a Roman Catholic Priest... almost nothing is known about Valentine's Life.  This day is not mentioned in the Bible.  It is a man made Holiday and not a Christian Biblical Holiday.  It is said Valentine was a martyr executed because he was a Christian.  Roman Catholic Churches are neither protestant nor are they Christian.  They worship idols, the people pray to the priests, and confess their sins.  Priest are said to have the power to forgive sins.  Christ is the High Priest, and his father God are the only ones who can take away your sins.  The priests are not God nor are they the Lord Jesus Christ.  The second commandment of the 10 says, "Thou Shalt Not make unto you any graven images, or any likeness of any thing in the heaven above or in the earth beneath.  Thou shalt not bow down to them nor worship them or serve them.  God is a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father's unto their children, unto the third and fourth generations of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
The article I took this information from says that on the Feast of Saint Valentine's Day, think of the love Christ has for you, and love you have for him as your dearest friend.  They are putting Saint Valentine equal with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Valentine is not equal with Christ, my Savior.  I do not want any part of a heathen (ungodly) celebration.  You need to look beyond the glitter and glamour of showing your love to one another or that one certain love one, on just one day throughout the year.  There are no scriptures in the Bible mentioning Saint Valentines Day.  Where does cupid and romantic love come into play on this Day?
This is another man made holiday the Roman Catholic Church tried to Christianize so they could draw more people into their churches.  The same as Christ-mas and Easter Sunday.  Trust only in the Word of God.  If it isn't mentioned in scriptures, have nothing to do with it.  As for me and my house, we will server the LORD and him only.
