NOTES KJV BIBLE

If only Noah's family survived the flood, and we are all related from them, why are we not Jewish?

Answer:  Noah was not Jewish and, according to the Torah, lived long before the Jews existed. According to the story, he had 3 sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The Jews form only one tiny branch of the descendants of Shem.

According to the Torah, Abraham was a descendant of Shem and Abraham fathered both Ishmael, progenitor of the Arabs, and Isaac, who fathered Jacob (aka Israel, patriarch of the Israelites/Jews) and Esau (patriarch of the Edomites of the Negev).

Ham was cast as the father of the Egyptians and Canaanites, and Japheth as the father of the Greeks and Romans.

My note:  think about this, is there a difference between a Jew born in
Israel in our time and an Israelite in God's time?  God chose the Israelites to be his people.  His people originated from their own country.  They as a nation turned from serving God.  So God scattered them all across the country.  They had no home land.  They were taken captive at least twice.  Once by the Egyptians and once by the Baby-leonians.  They sinned against God many times and turn from him many times, but he forgave them and promised he would bring them back to their own country and they would be a Nation once more.
