IS GOD AND JESUS THE SAME Entity (BEING)????

Over the years the Church of God (Seventh Day)'s membership has struggled with this question. Back in 2007 it was stated by an Elder of the church at General Conference that the Church's view on that had changed and it would be reflected in our beliefs, that God and Jesus are the same person. This statement wasn't true.  I am not sure what was brought up to the Ministerial Council about the subject and what actually passed about this question.  I was told by another Elder that was in attendance at the Ministerial Council, that said the statement made by that Elder was incorrect.  He shouldn't have been sharing his opinion to the membership.

Where in the New Testament can you find the scriptures to back up that statement? I have never found any and others I have asked didn't give me scriptures from the New Testament.  Back in 2017 at Dover Family Camp, I asked Elder Belton if he could give me scriptures that showed God and Jesus aren't the same being. He gave me scriptures from the Old Testament.

In the book of Isaiah 43:3 - For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior:  v:10 - Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that they may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 
Isaiah 44:6-8: v6 -  (God speaking) Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is NO God. v8 - Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
Isaiah 45:5: I am the LORD and there is none else, there is no God beside me:.. V6 ...I am the LORD, and there is none else.  v12: I have made the earth and created man upon it... v14: other people of other lands shall come over to the Israelites and make supplication unto them, saying Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God. v15: Verily thou art a God of Israel, the Savior. (Both God and Jesus are called Lord and both are called the Savior.)  v18: ...I am the LORD; and there is none else. (very plain). v21: Tell ye, and bring them near... who hath declared this from ancient time? have not I the LORD? and there no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me. v22: Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, an there is none else.  Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: For I am God and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isaiah 48:12 (God speaking to the Israelites) Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.  v16: Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; for the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

Please if anyone has scriptures to share from the New Testament other than John 1:1, where it says both God and Jesus are God share them. In John 1:1 when it says and the Word was God, it is talking about the Godhead (God Family) talked about in scripture.

As I always encourage you, study and read for yourselves.  Take no man's word for something being the Truth.  God is Truth and there is none other.  God cannot lie.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE LIFE OF SAUL/PAUL
