SABBATH COMMENTS
Hello fellow bloggers or followers. I have two biblical subjects I want to make a few comments on. Both I have shared my beliefs on each one. But it seemed like I was being urged to bring them up again. I first posted this on my Face Book Page.
I have a couple of things on my mind, that I want to share with you. This isn't to start an argument or a debate. We all have our different beliefs we do not agree on. What bothers me the most, is in sharing these differences so many get up set, start calling names and not being Christ like. At times myself included. We are to be able to discuss and study together, not fight and argue.
I wanted to make this statement before actually starting my post. I do not believe either subject I am going to talk about is a salvational issue. I am not here to judge who will make it into Christ Kingdom and his 1,000 year reign, whether it be an actual 1,000 years or a 100. We can only be saved by God's Amazing Grace. We cannot do it of our own selves or by our works. It is a free gift from God. But we will be judged by our works.
The first one is on the celebration of the feast days in our time. I do not believe we are commanded to keep them today. Many of you believe we are commanded to still keep them. This is not something to have divisions and hurt feelings over. I have addressed this subject before. Many got upset at me because of my belief. God is the judge. He is the one we have to answer to. The Bible tells us we shouldn't judge one another in sabbaths, this is not the Holy Sabbath day, new moons or what we eat. This still holds true today. I am not judging you because you choose to keep the feast days and you should not judge me because I believe that we need to keep them in our time. My question has always been, where in scripture are the guidelines for this? When to do it, how to do it, and where? I have never found any. People I have asked for scriptures supporting this, keep giving me the same scriptures to read. Those scriptures do not support their reason for keeping the feast days and does not answer my questions. I have prayed and studied this subject many times over the years and I still come up with the same answer. They are not for ME today. That doesn't mean some won't keep a couple of them in the 1,000 year reign of Christ. There is a scripture or two that talks about during the 1,000 year reign of Christ people will go up to Jerusalem for a Feast once a year. In Revelation the scriptures talk about the Feast of Trumpets. What I have tried to get over to many is this, since there aren't guidelines to go by in our time to celebrate the feast days, shouldn't you go by the scriptures in the Old Testament and keep them as they did back in that time?
The second subject I want to address is the clean and unclean food laws. I have also posted about this subject before. This is my take on this subject. The Clean and Unclean food laws were not given to the Israelites in the wilderness. God put them in place in the beginning at Adam and Eve's time in the Garden of Eden. God has never done away with them. They were not nailed to the Cross with Christ as the sacrificial laws and Mosaic laws, given to Moses by God to lead the Children of Israel in the Wilderness of Sin, were. That is the laws that were done away with. You don't have to agree with me. All I ask is you study and study hard for yourselves. Always, always pray for guidance from God before starting to study.
