HINDS GENEALOGY

          The ancestors of my Hinds Family Clan came from Scotland and Ireland (Scot-Irish?), then moved to France and later on to England. The H-I-N-D-S spelling of the family name is said to be the English spelling.  My line of the HINDS Family begins in England with a Robert Hinds.  I am not sure that is the correct ancestor that came from Ireland and Scotland.  The story that has been passed down thru the ages is that there were two brothers who came from England to the United States.   When they landed here, they got separated and as far as the family knows, never saw or was in contact with each other again.  In more recent research through the help of a Sharon Hinds Mixon, she says the name of the two brothers were William Hinds, Jr. and his brother John William Hinds.  John Henry's parents and siblings names.  Great-great Grandpa William H. Hinds was born in Bradley Co, Tennessee. Him and his wife Mary Jane Boffman's(Baughman) was a full blood German born and raised in Missouri.  Their  oldest child was my great-grandpa John Henry Hinds.  John Hinds and his wife Alice Clark show up in Indiana. In the late 1800s they moved from Indiana to Braggs Indian Territory (Oklahoma) along with his in-laws Henry Perry Clark and wife Elizabeth Hall Clark. Clark history shows they came from Arkansas).   In the late 1800's William H. Hinds and Mary Jane Boffman moved to Braggs Indian Territory where they remained until their deaths.  In 1905 John Henry Hinds moved his family to Inola, Indian Territory for an Oklahoma Land Run in the month of February, in the winter time.  (The Clarks moved on to Inola some time later.)  John Henry and Emily Alice Hinds are buried in the Sweeten Cemetery in Inola, Oklahoma along with Alice's Parents Henry Perry Clark and Elizabeth Hall.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE LIFE OF SAUL/PAUL

            Paul was born a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin.  He was also a Roman Citizen.  He was born in the Roman City of Tarsus.  In those days people had dual names.  Before he was known as apostle Paul, he was known as Saul of Tarsus.  Saul was his Hebrew name, Paul was his Roman name.  As Saul before his conversion he sought out the believers in Jesus.  He would hunt them down, bind them up and take them to Jerusalem to be killed.  Jesus did not change his name at his conversion.            Saul went to the high priest asking for letters to allow him entry into the synagogues at Damascus, so he could hunt down men and women that professed to be believers in Jesus.
