SAD DAY

Today is a very sad day.  My husband's 1st cousin on his mom's side Annie Annette Meeks Wilson passed away from cancer today.  When they diagnosed her just a few weeks ago, there was no hope for recovery.  Taking chemo treatments wouldn't prolong her life. Surgery wasn't feasible. To many tumors to remove. She was in so much pain.  The doctor upped her pain meds and hospice was called in to make her as comfortable as possible.

Her children had hoped for a few weeks but yesterday they were informed she only had about 72 more hours of life.  Then her daughter posted on Facebook this afternoon and said she had passed. The three siblings lost their dad Philip Wilson just 3 years ago.  Most were told he had a heart attack, but later it was found he had cancer. 

Annette Meeks Wilson was born May 22, 1958 to Ralph Eugene Meeks and Jean Thomasson Meeks.  She first married Stoney Stonebarger and they had two sons, James Preston and Oliver Ross.  She married a second time Philip Wilson who adopted her sons. They had a daughter in 1982, Rebecca Wilson.  Son James married Jennifer and she has two children, and James adopted her daughter. Rebecca married Jordan Knight and they have three daughters.  

Please pray for the immediate family and extended as well. Please pray for the following families who are related Ullrich's, Baucom's, James, Dill, and Thomasson's.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE LIFE OF SAUL/PAUL

            Paul was born a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin.  He was also a Roman Citizen.  He was born in the Roman City of Tarsus.  In those days people had dual names.  Before he was known as apostle Paul, he was known as Saul of Tarsus.  Saul was his Hebrew name, Paul was his Roman name.  As Saul before his conversion he sought out the believers in Jesus.  He would hunt them down, bind them up and take them to Jerusalem to be killed.  Jesus did not change his name at his conversion.            Saul went to the high priest asking for letters to allow him entry into the synagogues at Damascus, so he could hunt down men and women that professed to be believers in Jesus.
