Hello to everyone who is reading my journal entry.  It has been raining here almost non- stop for a few days.  We have puddles in the yard and in the streets, but thankfully God has seen fit not to have the puddles freeze or the roads to be slick.  It is winter time here in Oklahoma, but as it has been the last few years, not much freezing or snow, but when it does, it is very hazardous.

The attendance at church yesterday was up. Praise the LORD.  The last couple of months  our average has been only about 35.  We had an attendance of 42 on Saturday.  We also had a very good sermon on "Using the LORD's name in Vain".  It doesn't have to be with profanity or slandering, it can also be by our actions.  That is something I hadn't thought about before.  Pastor Barry used a lot of good scriptures.  That is one thing I love about him, the use of a lot of scriptures.  Many have gotten away from reading scriptures to back up what they are teaching you.  My late grandpa Johnston always told his congregation, "Open your bibles and read for yourselves, I just might be reading it wrong.  Study for yourselves, I might have the lesson wrong".  Yes, he was human and had many faults as most humans do, but he knew his bible cover to cover and could quote most of scriptures he used, but most of the time  chose to go and read most of them again.

The renovations on the inside of the dining hall and the new siding on the outside are finished.  A few minor things need to be finished.  Now comes the big task of paying off what was borrowed for the renovations. I am not sure what the total cost of this project was.  The church had money in the building fund, donations have been being made and funds were borrowed from another fund to get this project started.  There will be fundraisers through-out the year to pay off this debt.  Donations are still very much appreciated.

Still dreary looking outside today.  My husband says it is quite chilly out.  I have only stuck my head out once, to let Bella out.  I had hoped we might have some sunshine today.  The Good LORD knows what is best.
