Late Wednesday's journal Entry

Here it is past time to go to bed and I am just now making an entry in my journal.  I waste to much time trying to see what my friends had to say than posting my bible verse for the day on face book and making an entry to my journal.

I will tell on myself. I don't know where my head was.  I was on face book and I thought someone made a post about voting today.  I thought I had forgotten to vote.  I text my husband and asked him if we were suppose to vote today.  He got in from work and we rushed up to our polling place to see no sign out and no one around.  What we didn't realize was it was a Wednesday, not a voting Tuesday and the next election isn't until November.  Now it won't bother me if you laugh your heads off about my silly mistake. I will laugh right along with you.

Today hasn't been very eventful except for good news on my husband.  He has to be on a blood thinner because his blood tends to clot.  He has to take an INR test every four weeks to make sure the medicine he takes doesn't make his blood too thin.  Yesterday was the day for his INR.  The nurse from his doctors office called today to say his INR was good. Test again in 3 to 4 weeks.  No change in medication. We have to be very careful and get these tests often.  If not he could bleed out.  That happened to him the end of last year.  We forgot to get his INR tests done and his blood got to thin.  We sure don't want that happening again.

Tuesday afternoon my husband and I headed up to the church to help brother Bob get the dinning hall ready for the crew to start the repairs on the floor and walls. Saturday night after the White Elephant Sale a few of us moved the tables and chairs out.  My husband and Bob pulled up a few squares of carpet. A crew was suppose to go up on Sunday and start taking up the carpet, paneling, base boards, and window trim. Bob arrived at the church about 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday to begin the demolition. Nothing had been done on Sunday. Two of the board members had to work and I don't know what happened to the crew.  The project was to start Wednesday.  We have been waiting on this project to begin for several months now.  By the time we got there, Bob didn't have much left to do.  He was a crew of one most of the day.  Rick helped him finish and I went outside and swept up leaves and picked up fallen limbs and brush on the lawn from the trees.  I had a back ache by the time I was finished.  In the night I had back spasms. The ole grey mare ain't what she used to be.

Prayers for Betty Sue Eddy and her sister in law Judy Eddy Jones for safe travels. They left on a journey.  Planning to visit in three different states. Visiting Judy's two nieces who are also the late Lawrence's granddaughters, a cousin and then on to Judy and Lawrence's  sister Twila. They posted a picture or two on face book.

The town of Inola has been trying to raise funds to make over the local park. The Fleming Family donated the land to make the park many years ago.  The name of the park is Fleming. I used to take my kids there when they were in grade school.  There used to be one or two covered pavilions with pick nick tables and grills to cook burgers and hot dogs on. There were swings, jungle gym and slide.  It has become very run down.  They did a make over a few years ago but not much maintenance has been done since then. The town has big plans for it.  Still not enough money to do all in the renovation they had made plans for and add to the park.  They began cleaning and fixing it up a few months ago.  Added some new play ground equipment.  Took out the softball field, fixed up the tennis courts and basketball pad. I drove by the other day to take a look.  One thing I didn't think to check on was the restrooms.  They had been closed for a long time due to disrepair.  In a little town where there isn't much for the teens to do, all the rowdy ones want to do is tear up the things the locals have tried to bring in for the teens. Every time something is opened the rowdy ones come and take over and tear the place up. Entertainment places don't stay around very long.  They cannot afford to.

Time for me to head to bed.  I haven't been getting enough sleep at night.  I am staying up way to late as I used to do.  I have sleep apnea and am on a CPAP machine to help me breathe at night.  I am suppose to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night.  Take no naps in the day time so I will sleep better at night.  I used to fall asleep at the wheel and had to stop driving very far on my own.  I do not want to fall asleep at the wheel as I did once and had a bad accident. Praise God he kept me and my grandson safe without injury.  I had my grandson with me in the car.  We were heading home from taking his mom to work. I made it clear till the turn off for home off of highway 412.  I fell asleep right after I took the exit road. I guess we were both asleep.

Night all and pleasant dreams.
