PRAYER REQUEST

Good Morning, one and all!  Scripture for Today:

My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:  Hebrews 12:5 (KJV)

Our brother in Christ Lawrence Eddy has been battling cancer for a year or so.  He has a great testimony about his life with cancer.  The first cancer was found  in his bladder. The surgeon removed his bladder about a year ago, July 5, 2017.  My husband and I had the privilege to be at the hospital with his family for this surgery.  All went well.  They thought they had gotten all the cancer.  Sad to say it showed up other places.  He is getting weaker and weaker every day.  He is at home at this time with hospice.  Please continue to keep him, his wife Betty Sue and the rest of his family in your prayers.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE LIFE OF SAUL/PAUL

            Paul was born a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin.  He was also a Roman Citizen.  He was born in the Roman City of Tarsus.  In those days people had dual names.  Before he was known as apostle Paul, he was known as Saul of Tarsus.  Saul was his Hebrew name, Paul was his Roman name.  As Saul before his conversion he sought out the believers in Jesus.  He would hunt them down, bind them up and take them to Jerusalem to be killed.  Jesus did not change his name at his conversion.            Saul went to the high priest asking for letters to allow him entry into the synagogues at Damascus, so he could hunt down men and women that professed to be believers in Jesus.
