SNOW AND MORE SNOW!

Hello friends,
In looking back over my past blogs I just realized how long it had been since I had posted anything. I do believe I started to a couple of times, but changed my mind. I had been having some trouble on Facebook with people misunderstanding my posts on there. Several believed I was attacking people about what they believed and had posted. That wasn't the case. I wasn't trying to attack anyone. I was only stating my opinion on what they had posted. What a lot of people do not understand about Facebook, when you post something on your "page" it comes up as a news feed on the home page. I go to the home page and see what my friends are talking about or what is happening with everyone. I then post something if I feel like making a post. I forgot that it shows up as a post on their "page." I have been accused of going to people's personal "pages" and posting things they don't like. I wasn't doing that, or was I purposely attacking anyone. I was just posting how I felt about what they were saying. It's funny, they can post what they want, about who they want, and that is okay. But when I do the same thing, I am accused of posting something negative to their "page." I am sorry everyone has gotten that from what I posted. It is your business what you believe and what you do. I was only making a comment on people's posts on Facebook as it is set up for. I have a right to post things just like everyone else. I DO NOT PURPOSELY GO TO PEOPLE'S "PAGES" and post negative or attacking posts. This is the lasts I will comment on this subject.

Oklahoma has been having some very bad weather for our part of the country. We usually have at least one snow fall during winter. Some times two. It's been that way as long as I can remember. I know over the years the weather has been changing and we have had more ice storms than snow the past years. Well this year we had a record breaking snow blizzard and tempatures. We are not use to this much snow! Our little town doesn't even own a snow plow. Who can afford it? They rely on the county to come through and grade our main roads. The side roads are usually not even touched until almost at the end. We were snowed into the driveway twice. The street in front of our house wasn't even graded for two days. Even if we could have gotten out of the driveway, we couldn't have gotten through the streets of our addition. People in New York and places like that found it funny that we didn't know what to do. They are use to lots of snow fall and have the equipment to deal with it. We do not. I pray this is the last of it until next year. I pray that it doesn't snow like that even then. I have had enough snow to last me a life time!

On a brighter note, I finally got to get out and drive to church today. I haven't been driving on the bad roads. Church had to be cancelled last week. It was a big disappointment to a couple of the girls in our youth group. We were to have a baptismal service for two sisters, Amanda and Autumn Ritter and be an all day event. It had to be cancelled because of the blizzard. The first date that was good for everyone involved wasn't until March 12, 2011. Please pray we don't get another snow storm in March. We have had that happened a few times over the years.

Happy Sabbath one and all. We had a very nice service today. It was good to get out of the house. Brother Barry Mauldin, from the Shawnee, Okla CoG7 was the speaker during the Worship Service. We always enjoy having Barry and his family with us. It was the monthly 2nd Sabbath Pot Luck Lunch. Yum Yum. Lots of good food and fellowship. In the afternoon Sister Phyllis Weekes showed pictures and gave a presentation about her missonary trip to Africa. She was able to go with the Missions Abroad Group over there for the Conference. She had never gone over there before. Very exciting. My niece Amanda Johnston Brown, who is a doctor, will be making a medical mission trip over there in April. Her and her family are going. She and her husband Jason have two small children Judah 2 and Abigail 1, and they are expecting their third child. Please pray for their safety. Right now in Africa it is very danagerous for Amercians. Many have been killed.

Time to close. I have enjoyed posting on my blog again. I think many times about discontinuing my postings. Then I think no, just leave it and if I don't feel like posting anything, don't post. It will be there when I feel like it again. Take care all.

God Bless
Starlight*
