UP LATE ON FRIDAY EVENING, BEGINNING OF THE SABBATH
Here I sit at the computer at 2:13 a.m. Told myself hours ago it was time for bed. I tend to be a night owl. It is Sabbath and in a few hours I will need to get up and drive to Claremore to attend church. I try not to do much on Facebook on the Sabbath. I mean with the games and all. I don't see anything wrong with just going there and talking to my friends and family. I have had several nice Bible discussions on Facebook the past few weeks. I think it is a very good outreach, if used properly.
I had intended to post something about Halloween. I had intended to do it before the celebration came around. It's past October 31, and what people call Halloween. Should christians celebrate this holiday? Many christians do and see nothing wrong with it. Churches even have special nights at the church for this celebration. That doesn't make it right. You can call it something else, have the kids dress up as Bible characters and have a party at the church, but that still doesn't make it okay to be involved in this most evil night of celebration.
I had a man tell me the other day, he thought Halloween was for children to dress up and go door to door collecting candy. He didn't realize it is a pagan holiday. Then he brougth up that Christmas was a pagan celebration along with Easter. That all you had to do was look at their histories. I told him yes I agreed and that I didn't celebrate either one of those holidays either. I said all you have to do is read the history of Halloween. It is a very satanistic celebration. It involves witchcraft, seances, trickery and the like.
