HAPPY NEW YEAR'S FRIDAY
Today is the beginning of a new year. I pray this year 2010 will be more prosperous than last year. Our country has been through a very rough year. Speaking personally it has been very rough for me. But I put my trust in God and He saw me through. There were times, I thought I would loose my mind. I continued to pray and finally one day I told the Lord, I didn't think I could take anymore. He heard me and things began to improve. I have come a long ways. Please continue to pray for me physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I had been praying that I might possibly get my old job back at the library. It hasn't happened yet. The more I think about it, the more I do not want to go back as the director. Now if the Assistant's job was to become open, I might try for it. But on second thoughts about that, I have about decided to leave it the way it is. I get to work occasionally. I am the fill-in person for the library. When one or both of the librarians has to be away, I get to work. I have also started a part-time job. It isn't much, but I pray I can get more hours, this new year. I really could use a part-time job.
I have a cousin who lives in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her name is Megan Tinsley. She is only 22 years old. Back in October she had a stroke and in the process of testing for the problem she became partially blind for a while. She had been having bad migraine headaches for many years. They could never figure out why. In doing the testing, after her stroke, they found out she has a hole in her heart. Probably has had it since birth. This problem runs in the Hinds side of the family. She was to under go surgery on December the 29th. They had also found holes in her septum. They planned to go in and patch all the holes in her septum and the hole in her heart. The procedure was going to be done through her groins. One side would have a camera and the other side the patches. If once they got in there and the patches wouldn't hold, they would pull out and do a more invase produre. I have been very lax in finding out what the out come was. I haven't called her mom for an update yet. Please continue to pray for her.
This is Friday evening, and I worked today. I was glad to finally be able to. I was able to work a few hours at the library also, on Tuesday. So I will be getting two small pay checks next week. Thank you Lord. I don't like staying home, especially since there aren't any small children at home anymore. Cortnie is the only one still here, and she is 18 years old. She can take care of herself. When I retired from the library back in 2008, I thought I would enjoy it. I think it was meant to be. But then I had my breakdown, which wasn't any fun. When I got better, I began wanting to go back to work. Not full time though. I had gotten to fill in some at the library starting in about June. That has helped alot, but I needed something steady. I found my job at Diana's Computer Service, which is across the street from the library. I don't have to drive far. That was one of the things I didn't want to have to do, is drive to Claremore or Tulsa to work. I am very thankful for my job, I just would like to get more hours. Please pray for me and my situation.
I am looking forward to a Good Sabbath tomorrow. I am praying we don't get any more snow tonight. If we do, then I won't be able to drive to Claremore for church. Here is wishing all of you a very Happy Sabbath and a very Happy New Year.
