"THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HATH MADE!"
Happy Sabbath to all. It is a very beautiful day. The sun is shinning and everything is turning green. But then there is the wind. It has really been blowing the past couple of days. It is quiet chilly out this morning.
It was a very rough week. I was so thankful for Friday to get here. I have fallen behind on this blogg. I figured I would get on every day, but that has not happened. Too much going on to make time to sit down and add to it. I hope some of you are enjoying this. I know I like posting things on here and putting down my thoughts. But then, I am a motor mouth. Sometimes I wish I wasn't. That is something I really need to work on. Believe me, I have tried. I have been saying that for a number of years, and it still hasn't changed. I really need to pray more about it. Because as all of us know, God can take care of anything.
We had a wonderful event happen this week. My niece Amanda Johnston Brown had her first baby on Thursday, April 24, 2008. It was a boy, which they already knew that. Her and her husband Jason had already picked out a name. He is Judah Caleb Brown. Wow! He weighed 8 pounds and 15 ounces. Almost a 9 pound baby. She had to have an emergency c-section, because of his size. He was 18 1/2 inches long. Black hair and grey eyes. I think she said grey. I didn't really look at the color. My youngest daughter Cortnie, and I went up to see him yesterday. He is a cutie. His complexion was so clear, to me, for a day old baby. He was born at 1:58 p.m. He was suppose to arrive on April 15. He took his time. Congratulations to Jason and Amanda. God be with you all.
I missed some email address on my blogg, when I first started. There are a few I want to add. Especially when I have news to share such as the birth of Judah. I was going to do that right now, but I would have to start over on this. No, that isn't right. I guess I could save it now and post it after I have added the addresses. I think I will try that. Be back in a short.
Today was the Oklahoma Quarterly Meeting, Super Sabbath, at the Wister, Oklahoma Church. I had wanted to attend and had planned to, but when the gas prices went up again, I had second thoughts. At a quarterly meeting in 1976, my husband first sat by me. Anthony Maher, Elder Clyde Maher's grandson, was with him. In April the following year, at the quarterly meeting in Coweta, Oklahoma, was when we started seeing each other. I haven't been back to the Wister Church since 1976, if my memory serves me right. That is a long time. The attendance to these meetings is on the rise again. We use to have big crowds, but they slowly dwendled. Lets pray for bigger crowds and more fellowship with one another.
It's past noon. Time to get off the computer and fix lunch. Take care all of you bloggers and readers out there. Have a wonderful Sabbath day. God Bless.
